  • Battle of Tarain-I(1191)
This battle was fought at Tarain near Thanesar. Prithviraj of Chauhan Dynasty defeated the Mohammad  Ghori.
  • Battle of Tarain-II(1192)
         This was fought by Mohammad Ghori against Prithvi Raj Chauhan. This time Prithviraj was              defeated.
  • Battle of Chandawar(1194)
In this battle Jaichandra was defeated by Mohammad Ghori.
  • Battle of Panipat-I(1526)
In this battle Babur defeated the Army of Afghans and killed their king Ibrahim Lodi.
  • Battle of Khanwa(1527)
Rajputs under Rana of Mewar Rana Sanga, were defeated by Babur of Ferghana. Rana Sanga was wounded in the battlefield.
  • Battle of Chanderi(1528)
Medini Rai of Chanderi was defeated in the hands of Babur.
  • Battle of Ghagra  (1529)
Babur defeated and dispersed Afghans.
  • Battle of chausa (1539)
Sher shah defeated the mughals, but Humayun, the king escaped by crossing over the river.
  • Battle of Kanauj or Billgram (1540)
Sher shah won against Humayun. Occupied only Agra city.
  • Battle of Panipat-II(1556)
Hem Chandra Vikramaditya (Hemu) was defeated by Mughals under Akbar.
  • Battle of Bannihatti or Talikota 1565)
Unified Army of five Deccan Sultanates defeated the Vijayanagar Army and Vijayanagara General Ramaraju was killed in the battlefield.
  • Battle of Haldighati(1576)
This was started between Akbar and Rana of Mewar Pratap. Decisive Mughal victory.
  • Battle of Plassey(1757)
British Army under the command of Robert Clive fought with Bengal Nawab Siraj-ud-daula and British won and Mir Jafar was made Nawab. Siraj-ud-daula,while he was unarmed was killed mercilessly by Muhammad Beg,a person who was under his asylum and provide gate way for British to rein india.
  • Battle of wandiwash(1760)
french was defeated by british.
  • Battle of Panipat-III(1761)
Maratha  was defeated by Ahmed shah Abdali
  • Battle of Buxar(1764)
British army under the command of Major Manri defeated the combined army of Mir Kasim nawab of Bengal, Shuja-ud-daulah nawab of Awadh, Shah Alam, Mughal emperor.
  • First Anglo-Maratha War (1775–1782)
  • Second Anglo-Maratha War (1803–1805)
  • Third Anglo-Maratha War,it  also known as the Pindari War (1817–1818)
  • The First Anglo–Mysore War (1767–1769) 
This battle was fought between Hyder Ali and British.
  • The Second Anglo–Mysore War (1780–1784) 
This battle was fought between Hyder Ali and British. Hyder ali was defeated and killed by British.
  • The Third Anglo–Mysore War (1789–1792) 
This battle was fought between Tipu Sultan (son of Hyder Ali) and British.
  • The Fourth Anglo–Mysore War (1799)
This battle  saw the defeat of Tipu Sultan and further Diminished in Mysorean territory.
